One member of the Brussels Brontë Group on the trip to Haworth in June was on a mission of her own apart from her desire to see a place she had long wanted to visit.

Ann Dinsdale and Carmen Albaladejo |
In 2006, Carmen Albaladejo was commissioned to write a biography of Charlotte Brontë (in Spanish) which was published as one of a series on famous women.
Carmen has been a "Brontë nerd" since studying the sisters’ works as part of her English literature degree course.
She joined the Brussels Brontë Group after moving to Brussels to work as a translator a few years ago and the Haworth trip provided an opportunity to do something she had long dreamed of: donate a copy of her book, in person, to the Brontë Parsonage library.
Given what she supposed must be the space limitations at the Parsonage and the huge volume of Brontë-related books published, she wasn’t sure if her offer would be accepted.
But it was, and she was at last able to hand over a copy of her biography to Ann Dinsdale, Principal Curator at the Parsonage.
